As a brand new independent magazine, community support is integral to allowing Kawandi to thrive and fuifill our mission.
We would like to host digital and in person literacy events for our community to encourage long-lasting love for literature and the arts.
We are passionate about showcasing the work of Black writers and artists, creators who traditionally don’t get their fair shine in the publishing world.
We would like to, and intend to pay contributors respectable compensation for their accepted submissions.
